Biography

Professor Elke Noellemeyer is one of two co-chairs for this SCOPE international rapid assessment project.

She is a Professor of Soil Science with an international research track record in soil management for sustainable agricultural production and an international research track record in the relation between soil biological and physical properties.

Elke leads a research group with experience in field and landscape scale evaluation of soil properties related to soil genesis, land use and management; modelling soil response to land use change and climatic variation.

A past University Director of Research with a funding track record with the Argentinean Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCyT), the Interamerican Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), The European Commission FP6 Programme (EU INCO), the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
