Co-author to the SCOPE Rapid Assessment Project on the Benefits of Soil Carbon


Annie Sigwalt is a lecturer and a researcher in sociology, working at Angers Agricultural Institute of Higher Education (ESA ANGERS, France). After she passed her MSc in Agriculture, she majored in sociology with a Master at the School of Higher Education in Social Sciences (EHESS, Paris). In the Social Sciences Research Department of ESA (LARESS), her research projects focus on two topics:  the evolution of farmers practices related to environmental issues, and the changes of the agricultural adviser profession. In connection with the preparation of this work, she has been involved in the research program supported by the French Ministry for Ecology and Sustainable Development called GESSOL (i.e. soil environmental functions - soil heritage management), by focusing on the different approaches farmers and agricultural advisers have about soils.
